How to Prepare and Utilize Sugar Wax for Hair Removal

When I was younger I heard of a woman who, based on legend, removed hair using sugar, lemon, and water. I never believed this type of absurd sounding tale until I grew up and educate yourself about sugar waxing- the standard laser hair removal way in which involves caramelizing sugar with water and lemon to create taffy, which attaches for your fur and pulls them by the roots. I researched quality recipes for sugar wax online, but all the ones which I attempted were terrible, and only did not harden and that I only agreed to be created a sticky hairy mess, or they hardened at excessive a temperature, departing me with burns and tugging up layers of skin within my make an effort to remove hair.

Miles from my home town, I lately knocked into my old neighbor who provided her famous sugar wax recipe, and lo and behold- it had been a keeper! This recipe is sticky enough to drag out fur, but with enough concentration it dries and does not remain on you... and works at cooler temperatures which means you don't burn yourself or accomplish layers of skin!

Sugar mixture- not ready yet. Note will still be obvious.
  • Sugar Waxing
  • Elements
  • 2 cups whitened sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions

  1. Mix together water, sugar, and fresh lemon juice in a tiny pot
  2.  Warmth on the high flame before the mixture boils.
  3. Now its ready- note the golden color underneath the bubbles.
  4. Time for you to switch off the flame.
  5. Stirring from time to time, warmth on the medium flame before the mixture turns a golden brown. This task may require sometime. It required me between 20 and half an hour after I timed it this mid-day. It'll appear somewhat while cooking- whether it begins boiling over, lower the warmth.
  6. When cooked, pour right into a microwavable container. A plastic baking dish is the greatest option since it is flexible and non-stick and will help you to use the sugar wax easier.
  7. Sugar wax, when the flame was switched off and
  8. Bubbles disappeared. Prepared to awesome.
  9. Allow the sugar wax awesome until it's hardened a drop. This can take a little of learning from mistakes until you determine the right temperature and texture that's simplest that you should use. The perimeters from the sugar wax will awesome and harden prior to the center, so remember that when determining where to accept wax from.
  10. Rub the sugar wax on the skin, allow it to awesome and harden for any couple of seconds, then rip up.

Waxing Vs Sugaring

By Naomi Torres
Waxing versus sugaring, aren’t they the same? Often put in the same category of of hair removal
because they’re somewhat similar in the way they rid hair, yes ripping it out from the root.

But very different from one another when it comes to one aspect extremely important- PAIN! Discover why even the people that cringe at the thought of the tiniest bit of discomfort are saying, “Pour some sugar on me.”

Waxing Vs Sugaring: Sugar Formula Is Superior

What’s in the pot? Real sugaring is made up of all natural food-grade ingredients like sugar, lemon juice, water and sometimes essential oils. Most waxes are made primarily of resins and contain artificial fragrances, dyes, chemicals, and preservatives. Although you can be allergic to any given ingredient, natural or not, it’s more common for people to be allergic to artificial fragrances and ingredients like those found in waxes. Allergic reactions can make skin red, irritated, and break out into a rash. Ouch!

Sweet, but not sticky. Sugaring paste (get directions to make your own) is water soluble, meaning you can wash it off with plain old water. A very different story with wax that needs to be taken off with a special wax remover, baby oil or petroleum jelly.

Sugaring doesn’t attach to live skin cells. Sugaring will only take away dead skin cells, unlike waxing which also removes live skin cells. If you’re skin isn’t already over-exfoliated (using glycolic, Retin A or peels) you don’t have to worry about the sugar accidentally removing skin.
